On Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Wollman Park in Leavenworth, the Henry Leavenworth Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) held their annual open Picnic. One of the highlights of the Picnic was an engaging and fascinating half hour presentation by Dr. Susan Brynne Long, Professor of Revolutionary War History at the University of Nebraska. President, Robert Lofthouse, presented Dr Long and Chapter Certificate of Appreciation and a Chapter Coin.
